China's Jilin Petchem to shut phenol/acetone plant for maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Jilin Petrochemical plans to shut its 120,000 tonne/year phenol/acetone plant in the second half of October for maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.

The plant, which is running at full operating rates, is scheduled to be off line from 14 October until the end of October, the source said.

The plant can produce 75,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 45,000 tonnes/year of acetone.

Jilin Petrochemical is a subsidiary of oil and gas producer PetroChina.
