HOUSTON (ICIS)--Central Australian Phosphate has appointed David Muller as CEO, the fertilizer producer announced on Wednesday.
Muller is currently the managing director of producer Rum Jungle Resources, and his appointment as CEO is pursuant to the agreement entered into between the two companies in September, whereby Rum Jungle begin proceedings to take over control of Central Australian Phosphate,.
Rum Jungle said on Wednesday it has obtained 80% of the Central Australian Phosphate shares and has extended its bid for all the fully paid ordinary shares until 25 October.
The company said the appointment of Muller will help streamline management of Rum Jungle’s Barrow Creek and its Arganara Phosphate projects, whose operations are going to be combined in order to develop a singular and significant phosphate project. The site could contain deposits that have been calculated at approximately 548m tonnes.
