Korea Kumho Petrochemical's SBR, BR plants shut for turnaround

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Korea Kumho Petrochemical Corp (KKPC) has  shut its synthetic rubber plants for maintenance for three to four weeks, a company source said on Friday.

The company shut its  560,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant in Ulsan and 220,000 tonne/year BR plant in Yeosu on 7 October ,  the source added.

However, its other 120,000 tonne/year BR line at Yeosu will continue to run during the turnaround, the source said.

KKPC is a major synthetic rubber producer in Asia.
