Korea Kumho Petrochemical shuts styrenic units for maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Korea Kumho Petrochemical Co (KKPC) shut its styrenic units in Ulsan on 10 October for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

The company operates a 250,000 tonne/year acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plant, a 230,000 tonne/year polystyrene (PS) plant and a 110,000 tonne/year styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) unit in Ulsan.

“These units are expected to restart on 20 October,” the source added.

Other styrenics producers in South Korea include LG Chem and Cheil Samsung.
