SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical plans to restart its 489,000 tonne/year No 2 naphtha cracker at Kashima on 17 October after a turnaround that started on 26 August, a company source said on Monday.
The restart date is around two days later than the original schedule of mid-October. The source did not provide further details.
Mitsubishi also runs a 392,000 tonne/year No 1 naphtha cracker at the same site, which is operating at close to full rates.
The company also has a 493,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in Mizushima that is running at 90-100% this month, he added.
