SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Fujian Refining & Petrochemical Company (FREP) plans to shut its Quanzhou-based benzene plant on 19 or 20 October for a two-month-long scheduled maintenance and debottlenecking, a company source said.
After the debottleneck, the nameplate capacity of the benzene unit will increase by 100,000 tonnes/year from the existing 260,000 tonnes/year, the source said.
The plant is currently running at close to full tilt, it said.
