SINGAPORE (ICIS)--BASF has completed the expansion of its antioxidant capacity at Jurong Island in Singapore, the chemicals major said on Friday.
The company’s Irganox 1010 antioxidant is now produced at the Jurong Island site, it said in a statement without elaborating further on capacity and financial details of the expansion project.
“In line with this new investment, the current production of Irganox 1010 at the Isohara plant, Japan, will be consolidated in Singapore,” it said.
BASF plans to invest €10bn ($13.7bn) in the Asia Pacific region by 2020 to ensure that about 75% of its products sold in the region will be locally produced, it added.
