MOSCOW (ICIS)--Russia's overall production of monomers and polymers increased in September compared to the same period in 2012, Russian statistical agency Rosstat said on Friday.
In September 2013, the country's total output of ethylene was up by 46.7% year on year at 167,000 tonnes, while propylene production was 37% up year on year at 81,300 tonnes, Rosstat said.
The country's total output of polyethylene (PE) was up by 45% year on year at 130,000 tonnes, and polypropylene (PP) production was up by 1.9% year on year at 54,300 tonnes, it added.
In September, Russia's total production of styrene was 5.1% down year on year at 39,200 tonnes, while polystyrene (PS) output was 7.4% up year on year at 36,800 tonnes, according to Rosstat.
Phenol output was 9.1% down year on year at 19,500 tonnes, the agency said.
In September, the country's total output of mineral fertilizers was up by 9.2% year on year at 1.39m tonnes, according to the agency. Ammonia output was 1.4% up year on year at 1.05m tonnes, it said.
Synthetic rubber production was 4% up year on year at 122,000 tonnes, the agency said.
