LONDON (ICIS)--Ercros’s vinyl operations at Tarragona, Spain, are running normally again this week, following the resolution of some recent vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) output constraints, a company source confirmed on Friday.

VCM production difficulties had started at the Tarragona facility in the second half of September, which had restricted downstream polyvinyl chloride (PVC) availability.

Ercros had also experienced similar VCM and resulting PVC production constraints at the same site in August.

Nameplate capacities are pegged at 200,000 tonnes/year for VCM and 175, 000 tonnes/year for suspension grade PVC, as previously confirmed by the company source.
