LONDON (ICIS)--Bisphenol A (BPA) imports into the EU from the rest of the world increased in July and August year on year, while exports decreased for both months, according to Eurostat data released on Monday.

In July 2013, imports of BPA from the rest of the world increased by 25.01%, while in August they increased by 10.03%.

However, exports dropped significantly year-on year in July and August because of high costs, poor margins, cuts in production and a lack of demand from the rest of the world.
