EU imports of crude MDI in July, Aug drop, exports rise - Eurostat

LONDON (ICIS)--Imports of crude methyl di-p-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) and amino resins into the EU from the rest of the world dropped in July and August 2013 compared with a year ago, while exports from the EU increased over the same period, according to data from the European statistics agency Eurostat on Monday.

From July 2012 to July 2013, imports declined by 14.30%, while year-on-year volumes saw a larger drop of 30.55% in August 2013.

For exports, volumes increased by 17.95% from July 2012 to July 2013, while the rise was 6.37% in August 2013 compared with the same month last year.
