EU HCL July and Aug exports fall sharply, imports mixed

LONDON (ICIS)--Hydrochloric acid (HCL) exports from the EU to the rest of the world fell significantly in July and August this year, while imports showed a mixed picture, according to Eurostat data released on Monday.

In July 2013, exports into the region from the rest of the world dropped by 11.25%, then fell by 33.93% in August.

In July 2013, imports into the EU saw a rise of 37.26% followed by a drop of 15.87% in August.
