HOUSTON (ICIS)--All fourth-quarter sulphur contracts ex-Vancouver has settled within the $60-70/tonne (€44-51/tonne) range, a source confirmed Monday.
The range has tightened from $52-70 FOB (free on board) in the third quarter and is down from $198-203 last year due to the global sulphur collapse. Some sources said the sulphur price has found a basement but do not see it recovering significantly before the end of the year.
Fourth-quarter Tampa sulphur contracts settled down by 21% from third quarter to $75/long ton CFR (cost and freight) on 11 October.
