HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene inventories fell 3.7% week on week for the week ended 11 October as the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) restarted their releases on Monday after being closed during the government shutdown.
US inventories of non-fuel refinery-sourced propylene fell to 2.868m bbl for the week ended 11 October, down from 2.979m bbl a week before.
The decline in inventories came despite an increase in US refinery operating rates, up to 86.2% from 86.0%.
Propylene inventories for the week ended 18 October are expected to be released on 23 October.
US refinery-grade propylene (RGP) traded at 56.25 cents/lb ($1,240/tonne, €905/tonne) on Monday.
