China’s September petrochemical output posts increase: CPCIA

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s output of most petrochemicals posted a year-on-year increase in September, according to data released by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association (CPCIA) on Wednesday.

China’s crude output slipped by 1.5% year on year to 16.9m tonnes in September, while production of ethylene was up by 13.8% at 1.27m tonnes, the data showed.

The country’s production of polypropylene (PP) rose by 12.3% year on year to 995,000 tonnes in September, while polyethylene (PE) output was up by 17.9% at 922,000 tonnes.
