Japan’s Mitsui runs naphtha crackers at 85% of capacity

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals is operating its two naphtha crackers in the country at 85% of capacity, a company source said on Friday.

Mitsui operates a 450,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in Osaka and a 617,000 tonne/year naphtha cracker in Chiba, according to ICIS data.

The Osaka cracker is scheduled for maintenance sometime in the third or fourth quarter of next year, the source added.
