HOUSTON (ICIS)--Here is Monday’s end of day Americas oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: Dec WTI: $98.68/bbl, up 83 cents; Dec Brent: $109.61/bbl, up $2.68
NYMEX WTI crude futures finished up, tracking a strong rally on ICE Brent in response to a drop in Libyan crude exports due to protests. The market also responded to released data showing a jump in US industrial output, which helped prop up the dollar.

RBOB: Nov: $2.6309/gal, up by 4.38 cents/gal
US November reformulated blendstock for oxygen blending (RBOB) gasoline futures tracked higher crude oil futures. A decline in Libyan oil exports revived international crude oil supply concerns. Last week’s rally in the energy complex was also seen as a buying opportunity.

NATURAL GAS: Nov: $3.569/MMBtu: down 13.8 cents
The November contract on the NYMEX natural gas futures market closed  its penultimate day as the front month, falling 4% after revised weekend weather forecasts predicted warmer-than-average temperatures for much of the country through early November.

ETHANE: lower at 25.50 cents/gal
Ethane spot prices weakened, tracking a dip in natural gas futures.

AROMATICS: mixed xylenes higher at $3.70-4.00/gal, toluene tighter at $3.40-3.47/gal
US mixed xylenes (MX) spot prices were discussed at $3.70-4.00/gal FOB (free on board) on Monday, sources said. The range was up from $3.65-3.73/gal FOB on Friday. Meanwhile, US toluene spot prices were discussed at $3.40-3.47/gal FOB, sources said. The range was tighter compared with $3.37-3.47/gal FOB the previous session, as bids firmed.

US October ethylene traded at 47.50 cents/lb on Monday, up from the previous reported trade at 46.25 cents/lb on 22 October. US October polymer-grade propylene (PGP) bid/offer levels widened to 62.0-65.0 cents/lb from 62.5-64.0 cents/lb at the close of the previous week.
