SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Xianglu Petrochemical restarted its 1.65m tonne/year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) unit at Xiamen in Fujian province on 29 October after completing its maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
The plant was taken off line on 24-25 October for 4-5 days of planned maintenance, the source said.
The shutdown has minor impact on its PTA supply as Xianglu has shut its downstream 240,000 tonne/year polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle chip line at the same site in late October, the source said.
