US Q3 2013 MX production slightly down from last year

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US mixed xylene (MX) production in the third quarter of 2013 was down slightly from the same time a year ago, according to data released by the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) on Thursday.

2013 third quarter production was down by 0.4% from 272m gal the third quarter in 2012.

Year-to-date MX production for 2013 was at 790m gal down by 11% from 889m gal at the same year-to-date period in 2012.

AFPM did not report any MX inventories

MX suppliers CITGO, ExxonMobil, Flint Hills, Marathon, Philips 66, Shell and Total all contributed production figures included in the AFPM survey.
