HOUSTON (ICIS)--US vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) production rose to 882.235m lb (400,200 tonnes) in the third quarter of 2013, up by 14% from the same period in 2012, according to data received on Thursday from the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM).

The year on year gain reflected sizable US VAM export increases during the quarter, primarily from greater shipments to Europe.

The AFPM data was based on input from four companies – Celanese, Dow Chemical, DuPont and LyondellBasell.
