SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Far Eastern Textile on 31 October restarted two polyethylene terephthalate (PET) lines in Shanghai and are running them at 100% of capacity, a company source said on Friday.

The company earlier on 19 October shut two bottle-grade chip lines, one with 180,000 tonnes/year of capacity and another with 380,000 tonnes/year of capacity,  as well as a 100,000 tonnes/year fibre-grade chips line, for maintenance, according to the source.

The company will keep the 180,000 tonnes/year bottle-grade chips line shut until mid-November, the source added.
