HOUSTON (ICIS)--PetroLogistics has completed scheduled turnaround work at its propylene plant on the Houston Ship Channel and restarted propylene production at the facility, the US-based producer said on Friday.

The company brought the plant down on 28 September.

PetroLogistics owns and operates the only US propane dehydrogenation (PDH) facility producing propylene from propane, according to information on the company’s website.

The plant, which began operations in October 2010, has a capacity of about 1.45bn lb/year. The facility also produces commercial quantities of hydrogen, as well as a C-4 mix stream and a C-5+ mix stream.
