HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refiner Marathon Petroleum is undergoing scheduled maintenance at its Galveston Bay refinery in Texas, the company reported to state regulators on Tuesday.
The work will take place at the 451,000 bbl/day refinery’s ultraformer unit No 3, and will involve valve inspections and repairs, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
It will last through 15 November.
On 1 February, Marathon completed the purchase of the refinery from BP. The refinery ranks as the third largest for processing capacity in the US.
