SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Wankai New Material plans to restart the 250,000 tonnes/year SSP state polycondensation (SSP) line at its polyethylene
terephthalate (PET) plant at Zhejiang on 9-10 November, said a company source on Thursday.
The line, which was shut at the beginning of November this year, produces PET bottle-grade chips, the source said.
The continuous polymerization (CP) line at the plant remained in operation and was producing PET bright fibre-grade chips while the SSP line was shut, according to the source.
The company shut the SSP line earlier this month because of weak PET bottle-grade chips demand and the persistent decline in PET bottle-grade chips prices, the source added.By: Xia Xue+65 6780 4327
