LONDON (ICIS)--European titanium dioxide (TiO2) producer Cinkarna is operating at 85% of nameplate capacity following an accident at its Celje production plant on 1 November, a company spokesman said on Friday.

He added that the accident was caused by a “depression of steam” in one of its digestion towers, but did not disclose specific details.

The digestion tower was expected to be fully functioning in two weeks.

Three people were injured at the plant, two with minor injuries and one seriously. Further investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing.
