SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jiangsu Sanmu Group has shelved its plans to build a new joint venture 120,000 tonne/year epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant at Dongying city in Shandong province because of poor market conditions, a company source said on Tuesday.
The company had originally planned to start up the joint venture unit in mid-2014.
ECH has applications in coatings for storage tanks, pipes, electrical appliances and beverage cans.
