LONDON (ICIS)--A leak of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) on Tuesday at Neste Oil's Porvoo refinery in ?xml:namespace>Finland has been “declared over”, the Finnish refiner said in an update.
The company reported earlier on Tuesday that a LPG leak from a process unit that had been shut down for maintenance triggered a general alarm for the refinery and surrounding areas, with neighbours being instructed to stay indoors.
In its update, Neste said that repairs on the section of the affected unit have begun.
There were no injuries and no production losses from the incident. The company did not comment on what caused the leak.
“Members of the refinery's fire service will remain on duty at the location to secure the situation,” it added.
