SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhejiang Shuyang Chemical Co will likely start up its new 80,000 tonne/year adipic acid (ADA) plant in Zhejiang province in December after postponing it for around six months, a company source said on Thursday.
While the producer is still resolving a few issues, the source said: “We hope the plant could be started up next month.”
The ADA plant at Quzhou was supposed to come on line in May this year, but the start-up was delayed.
Major ADA producers in China include Shandong Haili Chemical, Liaoyang Petrochemical and Shandong Hongye Chemical Group Co.
