LONDON (ICIS)--South Africa-based NCP Chlorchem Ltd has increased its liquid caustic soda production by 12% at its Chloorkop plant, a company source said on Thursday.
NCP’s membrane liquid caustic soda production increased from 6,500 tonnes/month to 7,300 tonnes/month from 28 October because of a change in the production process which has allowed for additional membrane grade to come on line.
“The project is running well,” the source said, adding there was the possibility of a further 500 tonne/month increase to come on line by the first quarter of 2014.
