Initial Europe November MEG contract agreed down by €36/tonne

LONDON (ICIS)--An initial European monoethylene glycol (MEG) contract price for November has been agreed at a decrease of €36/tonne ($49/tonne) from October, the seller involved said on Friday.

The deal was concluded at €949/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).

Industry participants had been expecting anything from a rollover to a small decrease of between €20-35/tonne.

The buyer was not available for comment.
