Focus:Asia caprolactam may extend falls on weak benzene, soft demand
Spot prices of caprolactam in Asia may continue to weaken amid soft upstream benzene prices, and as producers typically attempt to reduce stockpiles towards the end of the year

 Focus: Asia etac may extend gains on feedstock costs, supply constraints
Ethyl acetate (etac) prices in Asia may extend the recent rebound from a three-year low on the back of rising feedstock costs

Focus:Myanmar piped gas competes head on with LNG in southwest China
Myanmar’s piped gas is making a strong headway into the southwestern Chinese market as it provides a cheaper alternative to liquefied natural gas (LNG)

Focus:China SBR downtrend may persist on weak demand, falling BD
Domestic styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) prices in China may continue to fall in the weeks ahead, weighed down by weak demand and declining values of feedstock butadiene (BD)

Focus:Asia PS trades remain subdued despite lower offers
Trading in the Asian polystyrene (PS) market remained subdued this week as buyers are not keen to stock up on the resins towards yearend, notwithstanding lower offers from supplier

Focus:Asia’s naphtha prices rebound on refinery run rate cuts
Asia’s naphtha prices are set to rebound in response to a reduction in refinery operating rates in the region, while demand for the petrochemical feedstock remains stable

Focus:Asia adipic acid hits 4-month low; firm benzene to lend support
Spot adipic acid prices in Asia tumbled to a four-month low this week as demand typically weakens towards the end of the year, and amid increased supply from the key China market
