TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan exported 11,199 tonnes of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resins in October, representing a 17% increase from the previous month, but lower by 1% compared with volumes in the same period last year, industry data showed on Tuesday.
Its domestic shipments of the product totaled 20,914 tonnes, up by 5% month on month and 3% higher year on year, according to the Nihon ABS jushi kogyokai (Japan ABS resin industry association).
Domestic shipments for use in the automotives sector in October stood at 8,031 tonnes, while volumes that went into electric appliances totaled 2,436 tonnes, the data showed.
