LONDON (ICIS)--INEOS’ G4 naphtha cracker based at its Grangemouth, UK site is restarting and the Swiss-headquartered producer expects it to be on planned rates by the end of this week, a company spokesman said on Tuesday.
The G4 cracker which has the capacity to produce 320,000 tonnes/year of ethylene according to ICIS data, was shut down alongside the refinery and all the other petrochemical units in mid-October in reaction to the threat of strike action.
The issues were resolved and restart of the site commenced 25 October.
