DUBAI (ICIS)--Sadara Chemical will be responsible for marketing some of its products in the Middle East, but the sales and marketing of its products in Asia, Europe and the US will be handled by Dow Chemical, a Sadara Chemical source said on Tuesday.
Sadara’s chemical complex in Jubail Industrial City II in Saudi Arabia currently under construction is a joint venture between US-based major Dow Chemical and Saudi Aramco.
The source was speaking to ICIS at the sidelines of the 8th annual Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals (GPCA) Forum in Dubai.
Dow Chemical has established sales networks globally so it is logical for Saradra to go through those channels, it said.
Sadara Chemical is a fully integrated project that will comprise 26 world-scale manufacturing units for producing a range of petrochemicals, including amines, glycol ethers, propylene glycol, polyether polyols, isocyanates, polyethylene and elastomers.
The GPCA 2013 Forum will end on 21 November.
