LONDON (ICIS)--Paraxylene (PX) exports out of the EU to the rest of the world saw a steep year-on-year increase in September although imports in the same month declined from the previous year, data from European statistics agency Eurostat showed on Monday.

European PX suppliers have been actively moving material out of the region this year to help maintain a balanced supply/demand dynamic amid poor derivative demand from the purified terephthalic acid (PTA) market.
