Correction: In the ICIS story headlined “Europe September ethanol imports rise sharply year on year” dated 25 November 2013, incorrect Eurostat import/export trade data for ethanol had been published. This has been replaced with a corrected story now headlined “EU imports of denatured ethanol in September down steeply” which contains amended Eurostat import/export trade data for denatured ethanol during September throughout.
Be advised, corrections have also been published for articles containing Eurostat import/export trade data for ethanol in April and May, June, as well as for July and August. LONDON (ICIS)--EU imports of denatured ethanol from the rest of the world fell sharply year on year in September, data from European statistics agency Eurostat showed on Monday.
The EU imported 1,569 tonnes of denatured ethanol in September, compared with 21,228 tonnes in the same month last year.
EU denatured ethanol export figures in September were also down at 741 tonnes, compared with 1,478 tonnes in September 2012.
Eurostat import/export data is subject to revision as more detailed information becomes available.By: Sarah Trinder+44 20 8652 3214
