HOUSTON (ICIS)--Here is Tuesday's end of day ?xml:namespace>
CRUDE: Jan WTI: $93.68/bbl, down 41 cents; Jan Brent: $110.88/bbl, down 12 cents
NYMEX WTI crude futures drifted lower while factoring in the recent nuclear deal with Iran, which consists of a partial lifting of sanctions but does not include exporting more oil. The market was also digesting upbeat US economic data, showing a rise in permits for future home construction. A weak dollar kept losses in check.
RBOB: Dec: $2.6869/gal, up 0.62 cents
Reformulated blendstock for oxygen blending (RBOB) gasoline futures settled slightly higher, held back by concerns that colder weather in various regions could temper demand, as well as expectations that supply statistics from the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) will show a build in supplies.
NATURAL GAS: Dec: $3.818/MMBtu; up 2.9 cents
The December front month closed up for a fifth straight session, finishing its term as front month at a near six-week high. The price rise came despite an uncertain morning in which prices initially dropped before rallying on higher near-term demand.
ETHANE: lower at 26.00 cents/gal
Ethane spot prices were slightly lower on lower volume ahead of the US Thanksgiving holiday.
AROMATICS: benzene down at $4.43-4.48/gal; toluene steady at $3.80-4.00/gal
Prompt benzene spot prices were slightly softer on Tuesday, amid thin trading ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday. Prices were softer mainly along with weaker crude. The price was down on Tuesday to $4.43-4.48/gal FOB (free on board) from $4.44-4.49/gal FOB at the close of the previous session. Prompt toluene spot prices remained at $3.80-4.00/gal on Tuesday, as no new trades have been heard since Friday.
