SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Haili Chemical Industry is expected to restart its 200,000 tonne/year caprolactam (capro) plant at Zibo in Shandong province in the middle of December, a company source said on Wednesday.
The plant, which consists of two 100,000 tonne/year lines, was shut down on 25 November for technical upgrades, the source added.
The Haili group also has two capro lines with a combined capacity of 200,000 tonnes/year, at Yancheng in Jiangsu province.
The operating rates of the two plants was at around 80% capacity in the middle of November. The capro plant in Jiangsu province is currently running at a rate of 70% capacity, the company source said.
