SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indian Synthetic Rubber Ltd (ISRL) will inaugurate its new 120,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant at Panipat on 29 November, a company source said on Thursday.
The new emulsion SBR plant – India’s first – is expected to start commercial production next month, the source said.
“The inauguration is tomorrow and we expect to start production in the first half of December,” the company source said.
“Our priority is the domestic market and we will focus on the domestic market initially,” the source said.
ISRL is a joint venture between Indian Oil, TSRC of Taiwan and Marubeni Corp of Japan.
