SINGAPORE (ICIS)--PetroChina is planning to build a 300,000 cubic metre (cbm)/day gas liquefaction plant at Sanmenxia in Henan province, a local government official said on Friday.
The plant is still at the planning stage, according to the official from Sanmenxia Development and Reform Commission.
Therefore, details on natural gas supply sources, storage facilities and LNG distribution have yet to be finalised, the official said.
There are three operational LNG plants in Henan province, with a combined liquefaction capacity of 700,000cbm/day, according to data compiled by ICIS C1 Energy.
These plants mainly process natural gas supplied from Sinopec’s Zhongyuan oilfield and PetroChina’s West-East gas pipelines, the data showed.
