LONDON (ICIS)--Europe is set to import a minimum of 508,000 tonnes of diesel from the US Gulf Coast (USGC) in early December, shipping sources said on Friday.
Ten shipping fixtures published this week reveal the volumes will be transported from the USGC to the UK continental shelf and the Mediterranean region on vessels mostly due to load in early December.
The product from the USGC can also be converted into the 50ppm gasoil grade that is commonly used in Germany, industry sources maintain.
The US is a major source of the fuel for European markets.
Meanwhile, four shipping fixtures published this week revealed 112,000 tonnes of diesel and gasoil would be shipped from the Baltic region to the UK continental shelf in early December.
