LONDON (ICIS)--Sasol-Huntsman has begun planned maintenance work on one of the production lines at its maleic anhydride (MA) plant in Moers, Germany, a company source confirmed on Friday.

The reactor is one of three at the facility, and represents around one-third of the plant’s total capacity, the source said. No market impact is anticipated, and customers have been informed.

The work started at the beginning of the week and should be completed within a few weeks, the source said. The Moers plant has a nameplate capacity of 105,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS data.

European MA producers include Sasol-Huntsman, Polynt, DSM, MOL and CEPSA.
