India’s RIL to start up 40,000 tonne/year BR plant in Hazira in 2014

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--India’s Reliance Industries (RIL) plans to start up its new 40,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant in Hazira, Gujarat, in early 2014, market sources said on Thursday.

The new BR plant will expand RIL’s total BR capacity to 120,000 tonnes/year.

RIL currently runs a 80,000 tonne/year BR plant at Baroda, also in Gujarat state.
