Brazil Elekeiroz acquires Air Products plant in Bahia

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Elekeiroz has acquired an oxo-gas plant in Bahia from US-based Air Products, the Brazil-based oxo-alcohols producer said on Monday.

The plant will provide feedstock for the company's oxo-alcohol production, which includes butanol, octanol and 2-ethyl hexanoic acid, Elekeiroz said.

According to Elekeiroz, total investment for acquiring the plant is Brazilian reais (R) 70m ($30m, €22m).

The company already produces oxo-gas at its site in Camacari.
