SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Malaysia’s Petlin restarted its 255,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (LDPE) plant at Kerteh in Terengganu on Thursday, after shutting the plant down on 6 December as a result of a power outage, a source close to the company said.
The power outage was triggered by heavy rains, which flooded part of the site, the source said.
Petlin is still clearing backlog orders accumulated during its scheduled turnaround from 1 September to end-October, he said.
