SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Sika will acquire LCS Optiroc, a manufacturer of cementitious power products that has production facilities in Singapore and Malaysia, for an undisclosed amount, the Swiss specialty chemicals firm said on Monday.
“The acquisition will enable Sika to take a big step forward in the Singapore construction market, significantly increasing sales volume and gaining a local manufacturing base,” the company said in a statement.
“With the new site in Malaysia, Sika will strengthen its presence in the southern part of the country,” it added.
LCS Optiroc generated an annual sales of Swiss francs (Swfr) 24m ($21.4m) in the last financial year, Sika said.
($1 = €0.73 / $1 = Swfr0.89)
