eTOKYO (ICIS)--Japan’s domestic shipments of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resin increased by 6% to 20,146 tonnes in November from the same time a year earlier, official industry statistics showed on Wednesday.
Among the total, 7,589 tonnes were shipped for automobile production, down 12% from the year before, while 2,151 tonnes were used for electrical appliances, a 1% decrease, according to the Nihon ABS Jushi Kogyokai (Japan ABS resin industry association).
Exports of ABS resin rose by 14% year on year to 10,433 tonnes, the data showed.
