SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Anhui Tianchen Chemical will start building a new 100,000 tonne/year polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant in January, after the closure of its existing facility, a company source said on Friday.
Its 60,000 tonne/year PVC plant in Hefei city in Anhui province will permanently shut operations by the end of 2013, the source said.
Construction of the new plant at an economic zone in Hefei city is expected to take about four months to complete, with the start-up scheduled in April, the source said.
