Nano Carbon launches Poland’s first commercial graphene production

LONDON (ICIS)--The first production of ultra-thin semiconductor material graphene is under way in Poland, its producer, Nano Carbon, said on Monday.

The production of graphene - a strong material that is comprised of a one-atom thick layer of graphite - was made possible by work conducted by Poland’s Institute of Electronic Materials Technology in Warsaw, it added.

Nano Carbon is 51%-owned by Poland’s Industrial Development Agency (ARP) and 49%-owned by Polish copper mining company KGHM.
