China's combined imports of PE, PP up by 13.5% in November

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s combined imports of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) rose by 13.5% year on year to 1.32m tonnes in November, official data showed on Tuesday.

On a month-on-month basis, the imports of both PE and PP rose by 27.5%, according to China Customs Data.

China’s PP imports in November stood at 480,700 tonnes, up by 28.6% month on month but 1.3% lower year on year.

The country’s PE imports totalled 840,000 tonnes in November, up by 26.9% from October and up by 24.2% from the same period last year.
